TANcast 070 – Don’t Judge Us By This Episode

October 18th, 2009 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)

This week Tim and Noah record in the same room…and an awkward echo ensues. Sorry ’bout that. Tim and Noah debate fitness, Andy and Noah talk downloadable content for video games,
discuss the past and future of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Character, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back gets edited for television, babies get hit by cars, boys mess with balloons, Noah reviews Whip It, then things go wrong and hopefully you can laugh AT us if not WITH us.

This week’s Tanlaugh was sent in by Melanie.

Seriously, Mr Babb, with the greatest of respect, quit yer bitchin’. We lived through the great feedback fires of ’03, a little echo isn’t gonna hurt us. I thought that it was a good ep.

Was going to ask about whether the Hey Hey It’s Racism story had received as much play in the US as we were told it had (not that it wouldn’t, but our local news often uses the idea that people in other countries are interested in something to try to drum up interest in stories), but frankly I was too embarrassed by it to want to mention it to anyone.
That show was axed ten years ago, and someone decided that a good way to mark the fact that people were bored by it a decade ago was to bring it back for a couple of specials, on which they included that act that was from ten years before that… and which I seem to remember people complaining about at the time. I’d suspect an engineered “any publicity is good publicity” approach, except that I don’t think that the people who make that show have the nouse for it.

It wasnt bad. It was just random. Like it always is. Perhaps Tim and Noah shouldn’t record in the same room.

Noah – I made candied bacon last weekend and it was fanfuckingtastic. I’d never have done it if you hadn’t mentioned it on the cast. It rocked.

  9. NoahNo Gravatar Says:

Glad you liked it. It is quite amazing.

It is amazing. Everyone thought I was nuts. Then they started throwing punches over who got the next piece. Gotta love the family…
