Day 22
As mentioned on the last episode of the podcast, I recently watched the Lada Gaga and the Muppets Holiday Spectacular on Netflix. When as I watched, I was constantly tweeting. I present those tweets to you now. (Feel free to punch up the special while you read these…feel even more free NOT to)
Despite all your warnings, I am watching the Muppets/Lady Gaga holiday special

Day 21
Recently I uploaded a new Kingdom Comedy video…twice. Here’s the first version:
If you’re on a mobile device, you just saw a fat load of nothing. That’s because Disney recognized their song and decided to take action…by blocking access to the video…but only blocking mobile devices. SO as I sit here on my laptop, I can watch it with no issues.
I’m actually pretty impressed with Disney for this. Believe it or not, with all the videos I’ve made about the parks over the years – using park audio – this is the first time I’ve run afoul of their copyright policies. Even then, their response was not to shut me down but just to restrict my videos from mobile devices (Sheesh! How many times am I going to mention mobile devices in this blog?*)
I know a rep at Disney didn’t see my video personally and decide what action to take…I’m sure the whole process is automated. But I still respect Disney’s method of protecting their copyrighted material while still allowing fan projects to be posted. Merry Christmas, Disney!
Oh, and if you’re on a mobile device and want to see my new Kingdom Comedy, the edited for mobile devices version is below. (You miss the “sing-a-long” portion, but you still get the main thrust of the video.)

Day 20
I love Disneyland and I love Christmas songs. This is an instance where two great tastes taste great together.
Believe in Holiday Magic (Can You Remember)
I remember posting this as one of my favorite songs from the Disney Parks a while back. It’s such a perfect Christmasy song. Except it started as the music to the regular Disney World fireworks. They basically just Weird Al-ed it to be about Christmas. You would think that would make it lose it’s Christmas luster for me, somehow it doesn’t at all. (Pay no attentuion to the poster of this video’s goofy edit at the end)
Country Bear Christmas Hoedown
This one’s not around anymore but the music lives on in my iPhone. Great renditions of some classic Christmas favorites and even a great original Christmas song, “Rock and Roll Santa.” Love it.
The Main Street Music Loop
I love to just put this on at work. Every few minutes it’ll spark some memory of walking through the park at Christmas time (which I’ve done every year since I was in grade school…so that’s a lot of memories)
A Christmas Fantasy Parade
It’s funny, I rarely sit to watch the parades, but the music for this one has stuck with me all these years. It’s such a perfect blend of that Disney style and a Christmas carol. I’m sure I’ll find out that it wasn’t written as a Christmas song at all, but I don’t care. It’s perfect.
A Small World Holiday Jingle Shells
Self serving to put my own video as number 1? Perhaps, but no compromise of truth here. My son somehow latched on to the one minute portion of the Small World Holiday soundtrack where the mermaids sing an alternate version of Jingle Bells. He loves it. Sings it all the time. Asks me and my wife to sing it all the time. It’s made me love it too. This is some Disney love that my son came to on his own. I wasn’t pushing this on him, he just gravitated toward it. So I’m throwing my full support behind it. Sing that mermaid song, little buddy!

Day 19
Once again, everyone on every side of a debate are wrong and it falls to me to straighten everybody out. If you haven’t heard some dude from Duck Dynasty (who’s name is not even close to important enough for me to look up) got suspended from the show because he liked vaginas better than men’s butts. Oh…and also compared homosexuality to bestiality. Now people one side are angry at his comments while people on the other side are complaining that his freedom of speech has been violated.
First off, hos freedom of speech wasn’t violated. A&E is not the government, they are a private company. If they feel like suspending him from the show, they can. Maybe they don’t want to be seen to condone someone saying that a consensual relationship between two adults is the same as sneaking up on a sheep and going to town.
To the other side, how could you possibly be surprised that a dude from Duck Dynasty has horrible things to say about homosexuality? I mean, go ahead…threaten to boycott the show. However, I imagine you, like me, have never seen it and never plan on seeing it, so you know it doesn’t matter.
Besides, we all know how this is gonna play out…the duck dude will say a few things to smooth things out (without actually retracting anything) and tomorrow Miley Cirus will lick her own tit on a stage in Miami and we’ll all forget all about Who Gives A Duck Dynasty.

Day 18
Earlier this week I bummed you out with 5 depressing Christmas songs. So as an antidote, I present a high 5 list of Christmas songs to make you laugh. These songs are funny ON PURPOSE.
Disclaimer: I would have included the Star Trek TNG Let it Snow/Make it So video, but I did a whole blog about that too. But just know it otherwise would have made this list (knocking out Lonely Island)
Minty, The Candy Cane
When Conan first came back to television after the Tonight Show kerfuffle, I was a religious viewer. Hands down my favorite bit was this gag about a candy cane that fell on the ground. The song is kind of funny, but the tune is great! I only wish there were more versus. Read the rest of this entry »

Day 17
If you’re planning a holiday pizza party, I’ve got some (un)friendly advice for you: don’t invite the vegetarians.
Look vegetarians, I’m sure you’re nice people and there is no doubt great merit to your life style choice, but it makes a pizza party suuuuuuuuck. I was recently at a pizza party for close to a hundred people. They got equal numbers of meat pizzas and veggie pizzas.
Here’s the last peperoni pizza box after about 15-20 minutes…
Now here’s one of the veggie pizza boxes 15-20 minutes AFTER THE PARTY WAS OVER!!!
And oh if that were the only vegetarian offering still around afterward. There were plenty more but I was getting strange looks for taking the pictures.
All that waste of perfectly good crust and dough on worthless vegetables. A pizza party is no time to eat healthy, people. You’ve lost. Just give up and let me have my meat.

Day 16
Several blogs ago, I talked about the Christmas song “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer” and how its way more depressing than you remember. But that’s not the only song waiting to bum you out during the holidays. Here are 5 more songs that might be the reason that some people get so depressed this time of year…
Blue Christmas
Sure it’s a classic, but it’s about how the King will be spending Christmas alone pining for his ex. Not exactly yuletide cheer.
Most depressing lyrics:
When those blue snowflakes start fallin’
That’s when those blue memories start callin’ Read the rest of this entry »
