Hey kids…I’m editing the current episode right now…it’s just taking longer than usual. In the meantime, enjoy this brief preview…

Today we switched from (a slightly modified version of) Michael Fienen’s Grayplicity theme to the Ginseng Coffee theme created by JTk from Doc5.  It is rounder and browner and closer to where we are going to try to get this site.

What do you all think?  Better?  Worse?  How so?

This week the TANboys start of with a truncated salute to the late Bernie Mac before pissing all over the Olympics, China, and McDonalds! Then they move on to Tim’s Vegas day trip to see Star Trek: The Experience and strike a blow for gay rights. Noah reviews the movie “Be Kind Rewind” and Tim reviews “Pineapple Express.” Then the fellas revel in their Brad Pitt man-crush before spending way too long talking about Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. They talk trailers for Tropic Thunder, Max Payne, and The Punisher and rumors for next season’s CSI. Then talk of brain farts leads to Tim’s poor performance on the Netcot podcast. And then, in a last ditch effort to lower the level of the discussion as much as possible…they talk whores for a while.

There is an old adage, relative to the life of the Internet at least, about how arguing on said Internet is like… well, let’s just say it is likely to prove that both sides are idiots.

Just after George Carlin passed, I came across yet another best-of-Carlin compilation on YouTube, but the person who posted it used every inch of the “About this video” area to argue that the September 11 terrorist attacks were actually perpetrated by the United States government.  I gave him 1 star and left a comment chastising him for trying to conflate Carlin’s well-reasoned diatribes against abuses of power with a delusional belief that there is some shadowy conspiracy that committed mass murder on live TV and yet managed to hide its activities from all but a enlightened few on the Internet who are trying to “show us all the truth”.  He had a bunch of links that supposedly proved his claims, but, as TANcast proves, having a website is not the same as being smart or knowing anything.

What followed was a fairly telling discourse, presented here without edit for your enjoyment.  I say telling, but I have only a vague idea of what it says and about whom.

I just wanted to post from my iPod touch.

This time, the TANboys rip off yet another successful podcast as they discuss Wall-E, Hellboy 2, The Dark Knight, and Iron Man. Noah brings some insight to the Star Trek vs. Star Wars feud. Then they take an extended journey into the world of inside jokes. They tell frightening tales of deficuitus-interuptus and try to get picked up by a major network. Andy comes up with the new TANcast catch phrase. Finally Tim does perhaps the stupidedist thing any podcaster has ever done.

She just finished a 1/2 Iron Man Triathlon!!!

She swam 1.2 miles, biked 56 miles, and ran 13.1 miles…in 100 degree heat!!!

She is a superstar and I am sad I wasn’t there to support her, but I will congratulate her properly when she comes home 🙂

Well thanks to our brilliant “site administrator” we can’t post the new episode the usual way. But for those of you who are okay doing things the unusual way here it is…

Update: The glorious administrator has fixed the problem and now the podcast is available below!  He is all-knowing and all-powerful and is rightly to be praised, yea verily.  He also has edit powers and may have modified this post a little.

Yet another experiment goes wrong when the TANboys try to do a salute to the Netcot podcast. The boys each do a Top 7 list of their most watched DVD’s… the catch is that Tim and Noah can’t hear Andy and Andy can’t hear Tim and Noah. How could that go wrong?

For those of you who prefer your TANcast rambling and unfocused, fear not… the boys some how manage to get off on tangents about Twain Harte, CA, Hi Def Porn, and passive aggressive gay bashing.
