Halloween Shopping

October 17th, 2014 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)

It occurred to me that Blogtober 3DD has been going on for over two weeks and I don’t think I’ve talked much about Halloween at all. Well that ends today. I went out to try and buy some Halloween supplies last night. As you’ll recall from an earlier blog, my plan was to make my yard look like a big pirate scene for Halloween. Well, it turns out pirate decorations are few and far between. Zombies are no problem. If I wanted to be Zombies I’d be set. But I guess America has fallen out of love with pirates (I blame Johnny Depp)

So I didn’t find any pirate gear but I did find this which made my little heart fill with delicious schadenfreude…

Oh look at that. They had to cut the price of the Man of Steel Superman costume. I guess kids don’t want to dress up as a mopey murderer. What a surprise. Unfortunately, I was told to stop taking pictures before I could document that the Dark Knight Batman is still full price…as is the classic (Not “New 52”) Superman costume. All the Marvel heroes were full price as well. Take the hint, Snyder!

Then I moved on from the store that wouldn’t let me take any photos to a store that couldn’t be bothered to give a crap WHAT I was doing…Kmart! I gotta say, their Halloween stuff was not easy to find, it was tucked all the way in the back of the store. But before you get there you have to pass this…

That is a lot of Christmas for October 16th. Where are your Halloween inflatables, man? I love Christmas as much as the next guy, but come on. Give me an inflatable pirate ship that I can wow the neighborhood with. THEN I’ll come back for the gigantic snowman.

Eh…I’ll try more stores tomorrow.

To add…. I was surprised to get an email from Amazon saying, “it’s only two weeks til Halloween, time to start thinking about Christmas gifts.” Really?
