Ok, so when the Dark Knight Rises review comes out, please, let us know if they go into Bane’s origins. As I said in my last post, I understand changing a few things, but so long as they explain why Bane looks like he does, as in, a white guy, then I may forgive Nolan, that’s all I ask, just a simple explanation. “Hey, turns out, Bane’s mother was a white woman and he grew up in Gotham”, there, simple and to the point. Also, when a tragedy happens centered around something you were raging against, your continence will come out.

I dunno if it will be to your satisfaction, Jesus, but I thought it was very clever how they handled Bane’s origins. That’s all I’ll say for now so I don’t spoil it. But by the time we return in 2 weeks, we should have all seen it…so you can expect a spoilerific show!

For the first time on a long time, I saw a movie on the opening weekend! I can finally listen to a spoiler filled episode in full! I’m looking forward to it.
I want to say that Tim is really lucky! It’s tough having kids without grandparents around to watch them; no break from them, even on vacation. I’m throwing a pity party for myself right now. 🙂
I’m dreading my cruise coming up in November…. 24/7 kid chasing.

@Todd
I’m not certain how old you children are or what cruise line you are going on, but my family took a Carnival cruise out of Galveston Texas to Cozumel, and there was plenty of stuff for the kids to do that was supervised by trained staff members. In fact, if you and the wife want to have a date night without the kids, you can sign them up for activities and be away from the kids until midnight…sometimes later! It makes for a good family vacation where the kids get to have some fun, and mom and dad get to have some fun (if you know what I’m saying…heh, heh, heh…SEX!)

@Tim, well, thanks to a few reviews, namely the Cinema Snob, I already know the ending, it may be bad, it may be good, all I know is, I may or may not like it, if I were to ever see it or not. Second, I heard a character may or may not channel Sean Connery’s voice. And third, I’m a poor, struggling Lit. Major, I’ll take all the spoilers I can get, just no Avengers or Brave as I plan on saving up for those Blu-Rays.

@Joe, thanks!!!! I totally forgot about child care on the ship; it’s a Disney 7 day cruise so they should have good accommodations for little tornado! Now I just have to get the wife to not feel guilty when we drop off our terrible 2’s….. for the whole day. 🙂
@Jeeeeeeeeesus, Bane’s father is just some white guy.
And Merida is really a man….. oops, I accidentally let that one out.

@Todd, well, at least they got that right from the comics.

What is up with the iTunes fail, still? I turned on my iPod to listen to this episode, and all I get is a fraction of a second of Andy’s voice, then the menu comes back up. I re-synced the iPod — same problem. Then I tried playing it in iTunes, on my computer — same thing. I deleted the file, with the intention of downloading it again, but my podcast library wouldn’t reload it. I went to the iTunes store to find the episode, and all I could find was the Drinking Buddies. Guess I’ll be listening to here sometime this weekend.

@Grace: We were on a Royal Caribbean cruise, specifically the Serenade of the Seas, and departed from San Juan, Puerto Rico for “the Caribbean” (specifically, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Aruba, and Curacao).
@Chelsea: It was actually a Noah Internet Fail; I think Tim fucked up Noah’s audio so you could experience something like what we heard.
@Todd: Right there with ya, bud. Tim has all the fucking luck. Then again, the cruise I took would have had kids activity stuff (like a day care) available for us if Junior had been potty trained. If Disney can’t do better than Royal Caribbean, then fuck Disney!
@Jesus: You will fucking love the Avengers, and Brave is not really spoil-able since the plot was not the most important part of the film. The storytelling and execution really elevated a fairly predictable plot, at least in my opinion.
@Jenn: iTunes Support was not terribly helpful. Just kept telling me “troubleshoot your feed and resubmit”. Well, dear support person, without knowing what to troubleshoot how the fuck do I know what to do?
@All: I’ve tried resubmitting the feed to iTunes (we’ll lose every review and credit for all previous downloads even if that works) but I’m getting an error that does not make any sense. The saga continues.

Hi guys. Im stuck on the USS Nimitz conducting the RIMPAC 2012 exercise. Im trying to listen to this episode. Hopefully the ship doesnt kick me off. Tim you definately need to put that MJ show video on youtube.

Andy, thanks for your efforts with iTunes. I just waded through their “support” page to try to report the problem, and got so frustrated, I gave up. I’d finally reached an email submission page, but it wanted me to fill out various fields that didn’t apply to the problem. I’ll try again later, after I’ve had a good meal. I’m a librarian, dammit — I won’t let a company that doesn’t want me to contact them to stop me from contacting them!

I loved your spider voice Andy.

I did get an email through to iTunes customer service. Here’s hoping it works.
