My parents told me that if I masturbated too much that I would go blind, ha well joke’s on them, I just have astigmatism. But in all seriousness, one thing from being a kid that I remember is that in Kindergarten, I was told by classmates that Child’s Play wasn’t scary at all. Well, do you remember those big 60s,70s, 80s TV’s that were so big they doubled as furniture, they had a wooden case and had drawers on either side, try watching Child’s Play on one of those in the dark right in front of the TV, thanks mom. Oh, and being a young kid, getting stuck on the Haunted Mansion, right as you go down into the graveyard , your parent sitting on your left so you see nothing but hear the music and ghosts and think you’re really gonna get trapped in the Mansion.

Top tip here, don’t listen to the first 10 minutes of the show while eating lunch. I learned that the hard way…
I had a similar experience to Tim with the wearing a t-shirt in bed thing. When I was a kid I would never sleep facing the window for some reason, As if if somewhere where to get in via the window they would only look for faces of people. I also believed that Pokemon were real because I was told they were, but you could only find them in Australia and only the 3 rare bird-like pokemon in the game were real.
Oh and being Irish I am yet to see a unicorn in this god awful country, nor have I seen a leprechaun which I think is what Andy really wanted to say – but I have met too many ginger small folk for my own good.

All monsters can get through anything EXCEPT for bed sheets and blankets. If you sleep with the covers over your head and tuck properly all around your body, the boogie man et al cannot get you.

Whoo! Thank you for answering my email. You guys are quite helpful.
@Chelsea: I will look into it, thanks for the suggestion 😀

@Luke: I meant unicorn, but I also meant Scotland, not Ireland. I forgot whose coat of arms it was on.

When I was a kid, I used to think that if I was watching a movie or TV show where the camera goes through a keyhole or something like that, that I *could* be portaled (is that a word?) to the other side of the hole. I would always close my eyes until the camera got to the other side. Weird one, I know. For some reason, I still do this 🙂
Along the lines of a T-Shirt or blankets keeping you safe, I also thought that as long as I didn’t have an arm or leg or foot hanging off the bed, that I’d be safe.
