How about John McClane Vs. Jack Bauer??
April 12th, 2011 at 12:14 am
WOW great podcast to go out on guys, just as great as 001. π I was waiting for someone to say “So Indiana Jones…”
April 12th, 2011 at 10:02 am
Been catching up on the last 6 episodes of TANcast today. Haven’t listened to this one yet but you’re doin’ it!
April 12th, 2011 at 10:32 am
Listening to Andy’s baby at the end all I could think when he was saying “tim, tim, tim” was “WORDS WORDS WORDS”.
April 12th, 2011 at 10:41 am
Congratulations Andy, your son saved the whole show.
April 12th, 2011 at 2:08 pm
I second @Lindsey. This show was not a high note I’m sad to say. Tim had a lot of anger which i’m guessing is his stress for the soon to arrive Tim Jr. I really do wish you and your wife well Tim. Good luck and God bless.
April 12th, 2011 at 3:31 pm
@Kiki yeah there were other issues that didn’t make it into the episode. That’s why I put Andy’s kid last, I thought it was very cute. But you have to understand, Noah and I can’t really hear him. So it sounds much cuter on the playback than it does on the day.
April 13th, 2011 at 1:24 am
Well, if this is the last Tancast, it was great. I like to think of it as a journey from boyhood to manhood. Without Tancast, I might have to start reading newspapers or watching the news! Tim was my funnies, Andy was my everything else, from politics to current affairs, and Noah was my tech news. Well, congrats on everything in each of your lives, and if this really is the last episode, may it someday have an extreme revival, fully equipped with a Latino, a guy in a wheelchair, and Alphonso Ribeiro. Hey say what you will, but Extreme Ghostbusters was awesome!
April 14th, 2011 at 8:29 am
This can’t be the last episode, you never unmasked the super hero.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:36 pm
BUT ANDY NEVER DECIDED IF WATER WINGS COUNT AS AN ARTICLE OF CLOTHING! He’s, what…13 episodes overdue? I need to know!
Also, if that baby results in the end of TANcast… Nevermind, I won’t threaten Baby Babb.
April 14th, 2011 at 7:45 pm
So sad that this may be the last TANcast.
April 14th, 2011 at 8:16 pm
Ok, so if this is it. If this is really the last TANcast, then I have to say:
Thanks for the laughs guys. I will really miss hearing your voices every week.
*sniff
April 14th, 2011 at 8:58 pm
I feel Andy may have been over dramatic with his comments. In all likelihood, TANcast will continue. We’ll just be off for a week or two. (And the posting schedule might get moved back to later in the week). My wife says she doesn’t see any reason why we should stop doing the show. But thanks for the support, friends π
April 15th, 2011 at 4:08 pm
I still want to know if water wings are an article of clothing.
hmph.
April 15th, 2011 at 5:54 pm
Let’s be honest, I think this podcast has been a HELL of a lot more regular than any of you (or admittedly, us) ever thought it was going to be for the past few years. I don’t think any of us will begrudge a few weeks, or even a month, off to help acclimate to a new wee Babbling coming into Tim’s life.
Plus, ya get what ya pay for. Right? RIGHT? π
You know I love you guys in a purely platonic fashion, and I’ll be watching my Zune downloads, just waiting for you guys to pop up again along with my Nerdist podcasts.

Now that TANcast is over, can I start working on the script for the feature film? I feel that I’ve got the next Star Wars just waiting to be made! And the good ones, not the shitty prequels.
April 18th, 2011 at 4:28 pm
Although this won’t be the last episode, I would like to say to the guys thanks for the laughs. There are far too many times I can recall where I’ve been feeling down/angry/depressed etc and I listen to TANcast to cheer me up. Just for an hour or so a week I’m able to forget real life and all seriousness and just laugh. You can tell when something is good when you start taking quotes or sayings from it in real life; my friends would be the first to tell you of their frustration of my constant “You’re doin’ it!” or “Words words words” sayings.
As for taking a break I say have one, you deserve it! That goes for Andy and Noah as well, the three of you guys have been dishing out this hilarious podcast for a few years now and always proves to be great. Take a month or so off we’ll still be here when ya come back π
April 19th, 2011 at 12:02 pm
I haven’t listened yet guys, thanks for the spoilers. π
Anyway, whether this would be TANlast or not, I also wanted to say “thanks” to the guys. It’s a lot of effort to put out a weekly podcast, on a weekly basis, for no money. Or so I’m told. Thanks, guys. I really enjoy it.
Just promise that if a break is taken for the Babbling (which I really think should be Andy’s nickname…), it won’t be as long as Netcot’s break.
April 19th, 2011 at 2:49 pm
^Or as long as the Stephen Toboloswski podcast(however you spell it).
April 19th, 2011 at 11:41 pm
I hope it continues. I think it’s a great show. I always look forward to it, every week. It’s the first podcast I listened to regularly, it got me started onto what is now 15 podcasts. Some I have lost interest in, some I don’t check on regularly, but TANcast I am loyal to. If you guys ever do decide to quit, thanks for nearly 3 years of fun.
Not just an hour a week, either. I often find myself retelling your stories to friends or telling my friends the most recent racist TANlaugh. I’m allowed to laugh at racist jokes because I have ethnic friends… and because i don’t give a shit about peoples feelings.
Anyway, I will check regularly to see when you guys come back from break, if you do.

On Twitter, Kevin Smith said :
“How about advertising other podcasts” We were BORN of a podcast, so YES! For our first 2 weeks on SIR, it’s $200/2 min spot!
Just putting it out there – I’d be willing to donate $20 towards TANcast getting a slot and spreading the word. Hell, you could use the episode opening as most of the ad and (as long as someone caught it) if nothing else you could use it so that every so often KS culd open the show.
While I’m here, I’ll add my thanks again for the podcast. It really has been a remarkable schedule – even the paid podcasts that I listen to have not been as regular. I always look forward to hearing what’s going on with you guys.
April 21st, 2011 at 1:03 pm
NO NO NO NO—-This cannot be the last TANCast!!!!! No no no no. Please. You mean I outed myself for nothin? AAAARRRRUUUUGGGHHHHH.
But seriously guys- love you all so much!
April 21st, 2011 at 1:16 pm
There’s a crisp $1 bill in it for ya, if you come back soon. If you don’t, I will break into your iPhones and pull your consolidated.db file and find out where you are. Then drag you by your ear and make you do a podcast. So you just think about that, Mister!
Any word on the birth of Tim’s baby? Boy, girl, or the name? My Twitter has been on the fritz, so I’m in the dark.
@Melanie Exactly! Netcot’s “break” is setting some records.
Love,
Todd

P.S. How does one change their avatar? I know this may be a tad bit late to ask, being that this was the last episode of TANcast….
I feel like this is like Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure, and somehow they will all become the leaders of the free world. Rock on… I mean, Party on, Dudes!
April 21st, 2011 at 1:41 pm
@Todd (and any one else who wants to change avatars) Here’s what ANdy said on the matter
“If you register at http://gravatar.com/ with the e-mail address you provide when leaving comments, then upload an image to that site, it will appear next to your TANcast comments.
That is how I have my face next to all my comments.”
Hopefully I’ll have some big news to report on when we come back (in addition to Baby Babb…who is still keeping us waiting…c’mon kid…we got fart jokes to tell)
April 21st, 2011 at 1:51 pm
Good luck to the Babbs and welcome to the “I completely lost my mind and freedom” club of parenthood.
April 22nd, 2011 at 4:52 pm
on the plus side being a parent bring back nap time!! π
April 25th, 2011 at 11:22 am
Kids are great for getting you out of events that you do not want to go to too. “Oh, [insert child’s name here] is sick today, I will not be able to make it to your boring ass dinner.”
April 25th, 2011 at 1:02 pm
Nice one Todd…but I think you might have over estimated how many TANcast Fans there are. (Although my wife says she’s still behind you at 6,817,243,395)
April 26th, 2011 at 10:42 am
Yeah, I re-ran the numbers and I’m pretty sure I’m correct. π
April 29th, 2011 at 7:06 pm
I finally managed to get to this episode, and I can see where Tim might have sounded angry, but that just amused me more.
I was totally being melodramatic, guys. Maybe Tim should have put some sappy violin under me or something to drive that home. Maybe I should watch my big fat fucking mouth.
For the record, though, Noah does indeed hate us.

@Murray, et al
I am also in for the $200 advertisement on Smodcast Internet Radio.
In fact I mused about doing a blind ad myself and waiting to see what happened. =)
