He’s not just famous, he’s IN-famous!

November 30th, 2009 . by Andy (TANcast's #1 Ear-Rapist)

I played a lot of inFAMOUS (I guess that’s how it’s styled) on my PS3 over the long weekend. It’s a fun game, but that shit really screws with your head after a while. I find myself looking at tall buildings like I should climb them in search of power-ups, manhole covers like I should drop in to complete missions, and homeless people like I should try electrocuting them (SPOILER ALERT).

It reminds me of how I and the other TANlads could always tell whether we’d played Grand Theft Auto 3 or Grand Theft Auto: Vice City more recently by whether or not we wanted to steal police cars. In GTA 3 those things had great handling and could take a ton of damage, but in GTA:VC they drove like top-heavy boats.

Then there was Spider-Man 2 on the Xbox and Tim pretending to web-sling and swing through the house and down the halls at his old job.

Maybe that’s the hallmark of a good sandbox game: the degree to which you get mindfucked by it…

PS: 10 TANpoints to the first comment that knows where this post’s title comes from. Don’t be lazy and Google for it. The points are completely worthless.

Tim you should check out Super Mario Wii, its as good as the orginial NES titles. Maybe not as big a mind fuck, but still a blast with a lot of replay value.

Logan, I think you meant Andy, since he wrote this post.

Common mistake since Tim does most of the posting around these parts. Nobody will ever mistake it for Noah though, he never posts anything. 🙁

I think Facebook and Twitter are more suited to my posting. I had plans to post for a month Like Tim and kind of Andy but I easily get distracted by other things. I will make a feeble attempt to post more.
