Gee, he was just here a minute ago
June 24th, 2008 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)All of us here at TANcast love to think we’re “pushing the envelope,” with the inappropriate things we say…but few performers pushed the envelope as well or as brilliantly as George Carlin. He will certainly be missed.

As soon as I heard what happened, the first thought I had was “Tim must be so sad”.

More than just saying inappropriate things, the man thought hard about what he said and spoke the unvarnished truth (as he saw it, of course) instead of some watered-down, popular, easily-accepted-by-polite-people bullshit.
I personally thing his stuff on war in the following might be a little oversimplified, but he’s clearly got a consistent worldview and a compelling argument, and just fast-forward to 8:32 and listen to what he says about class warfare:

I had 2 chances to see him live and did not take advantage of them due to cost. Now I feel like a huge idiot. I’m sure he would find a much funnier and wittier way to cut me down for that. If only he were still here to do it 🙁
