5 Funniest Christmas Songs

December 18th, 2013 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)

31 Blogs of Christmas
Day 18

Earlier this week I bummed you out with 5 depressing Christmas songs. So as an antidote, I present a high 5 list of Christmas songs to make you laugh. These songs are funny ON PURPOSE.

Disclaimer: I would have included the Star Trek TNG Let it Snow/Make it So video, but I did a whole blog about that too. But just know it otherwise would have made this list (knocking out Lonely Island)

Minty, The Candy Cane

When Conan first came back to television after the Tonight Show kerfuffle, I was a religious viewer. Hands down my favorite bit was this gag about a candy cane that fell on the ground. The song is kind of funny, but the tune is great! I only wish there were more versus.

D**k in a Box

What needs to be said about this? Except, you’ll notice that the video above isn’t the official video. I guess they pulled it down. Why would they do that? NBC screwing up again!

Comedy Bang Bang 2011 Holiday Freestyle Rap Battle

Can’t get much more non-traditional than this. This was from the podcast Comedy Bang Bang’s 2011 Christmas show. Paul F Tompkins was pretending to be Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jon Daily was pretending to be Bill Cosby. Then they and two other comedians plus the host of the show did a freestyle rap battle with the theme of “Christmas.” (Sort of)

Chewbacca Singing Silent Night

This is a perfect companion piece to Star Trek’s Make it Snow. And it’s 100 times better than the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Another Christmas Song

I can not overstate how much I love this song! I don’t know why this isn’t played on the radio all the time during Christmas! Like Minty the Candy Cane, it’s a great and catchy tune. Plus it’s supper funny. What more do you need, public?! Is there no pleasing you?!! I demand this gets more radio play! TIM BABB HAS SPOKEN!!!
