Day 24
Today Stephen Colbert testified before congress about migrant workers. First he gave his opening statement:
Then answered a few follow up questions:
…and then the poo-poo hit the fan…at least on Fox News. They acted like this was the worst thing to happen in Washington since McCarthyism.
Way to take exactly the wrong message from Colbert’s appearance. They marginalized the fact that this thing got more attention than any congregational committee since the impeachment. He is literally lending his power to give attention to this topic. And they act like he’s ruining our democracy. He wasn’t passing himself off as an expert but he did at least take the time to experience what the workers experience. How dare he share that experience and perspective.
Fox, stop sucking!
(PS-I haven’t seen what CNN and/or MSNBC have had to say…but if they had similar slams they can eat my soiled underwear too!)

Really? There have been several studies showing that migrant workers have a hard job? “Gee, I wonder if being stooped over for 12 hours a day is hard work? Let’s do some science research, baby!”

He was just using humor to get his point across instead of using fear to control people. I doubt it really cost that much money to have a single congressional hearing. If it really does then i have this to ask: What the fuck is costing 125,000? Are they giving each congressman/woman a filet mignon for lunch? Swee and Sour baby Jesus!
