TAK3N It Too Far
October 2nd, 2014 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)I loved the movie Taken. The speech from the trailer is still one if the most bad as monologues ever. I had the movie on my DVR forever (until Comcrap made us change DVRs).
Then they made Taken 2. I never did see the sequel. It seemed like an odd thing for the movie to even have a sequel. I mean they came up with a fairly plausible premise; someone wanted revenge on Loam Noeson for all the people he killed in the first flick. But as I recall, the reviews weren’t that great.
Well, now they’ve made a third movie, “TAK3N.” (Oy) The trailer dropped the other day and it features one of my least favorite things sequels do…
Why did they have to kill off Famka?! I hate that! I hate when they kill off characters just to make the story more “dramatic.” I hated it in X-Men 3, Alien 3, Star Trek: Generations, Terminator 3 Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and tons of other movies that I generally disliked. I even hated it in movies I liked such as Rocky Balboa, Star Trek 2, Avengers, and Skyfall.
If you have to kill off a major, well-liked character just to keep me interested in your plot…you need to write a better plot!
There…it had to

Just rewatched Taken 2. Kind of like it better than the original.
