Day 29:

This time, Cracked.com had truly inspired idea for a Photoshop contest…”what would famous people or characters dress up as?” I mentioned this contest on last week’s TANcast and the two entries I mentioned (Yoda as Miss Piggy and Groucho as Groucho) totally made the list. I also made the list twice, so be sure to check that out. But as usual, I have a lot of entries that didn’t make the cut. Wanna see ’em? Too bad, here they are anyway…

Incredibles as the Fantastic 4
I thought this one had a shot. I thought it looked pretty good. Maybe the Incredibles aren’t at the forefront of peoples’ mind these days…but they SHOULD be, dang it!

Cheech and Chong and Jay and Silent Bob
Why wouldn’t two weed smokin’ slackers dress as two other weed smoking slackers? Because it’s not that funny? Fair enough.

Freddy Kruger as Snooki
Freddy knows it takes a lot to scare people these days…so he really took it to another level this year. Ugh…scary, scary stuff!

Cher and Elton John with “No Costume” Costumes
This is the one I talked about on the show, where I thought I had missed the obvious joke of doing this with Lady Gaga. Then, after we recorded, there were almost a dozen entries of Lady Gaga dressed up in normal clothes. So I guess I’ll stick with my reference to the frequent costume changes of Cher and the outlandish 70’s wear of Elton John. And I’ll stick to not making the list with it.

Batman as Superman
Even Batman knows he’d rather be able to fly and deflect bullets with his eyeballs. It’s okay Bruce…you can dream.

Mark Hamill as Han Solo
I thought SURE this would get some heat. Look at him all alone at that party just trying to get some Star Wars love. Poor guy. Maybe he’s cold, some one slice open a Tauntaun and tuck him in. (Wow, I can’t believe I spelled Tauntaun right on my first try without looking it up. This may be the proudest day of my geek life)
