Rejected By Cracked – Rebooting History

September 15th, 2010 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)

Day 15

Okay Cracked, I’m starting to take this rejection personally. I know you keep saying “It’s not you, it’s me,” but that doesn’t make it sting any less. You put on a Photoshop contest asking people to give you pictures of what it would look like if historical figures got gritty reboots like they keep doing with movies. I create 3 super-duper entries and not ONE of them makes your top 17?

Abraham Lincoln: Not genius, but funny and a good fit to the theme.

Helen Keller: Not only a gritty historical reboot, but a sweet salute to the most infamous SModcast ever! (Or actually the episode after the most infamous SModcast ever) What more do you want?!

Pocahontas: Get it? It’s Avatar! No one else has made this comparison! I’m an innovator! Recognize my brilliance, damn it! Plus it’s really in 3D!

Cracked! I expect better from you next week.

ok, so the Pocohontas thing… how’d you do that? it really is 3-d if you cross your eyes just right… the screen came right towards me and the Keyboard smacked me in the face. oh, wait, I think that was just me passing out from crossing my eyes for too long.

(seriously though, the 3-d thing worked. very cool)

Loved the Lincoln one. Can’t believe it didn’t make it. Especially with the lens flares. Loved it.
