WTF Yahoo?!

August 19th, 2010 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)

I logged into my e-mail today, and THIS greets me:

a) No hes not a %@#$ing Muslim!

b) If he was, who gives a @$#%?

c) How the %@#$ is this the “Top Story?”

Did I miss something? Is the economy fixed? Are all the wars over? Did we solve the immigration issue? Is ALL the oil in the gulf cleaned up?

Surely all those things must have happened and then some for Yahoo to put this as the top story! How can the right claim there’s a left wing media bias when this does NOTHING except to damage the credibility of the president?

There is NO WAY this story would be run about Bush if there were rumors that he was a secret atheist. Those rumors would be dismissed and laughed off. A story like that wouldn’t even make this page much less be the featured story.

Look, I get it, some people don’t like Obama. BELIEVE me I get it…I got it for 8 years. But just run an editorial on his policies, don’t make a news story out of some BS rumors that aren’t worthy to bump a Bay Boy story off the cover of the Weekly World News.

Yahoo, die in a fire!

PS-Why would I care what the weather is like in Solana Beach, CA?

But the second part of that headline is “Rumors gain steam, defying facts” soooo I’m not sure I understand your anger.
I agree that it’s not the most important issue out there but yea.

Also, you have no new emails. Loser.

iWon.com news feed had similar story about Pew Research poll noting the uptick in those who believe he’s Muslim. However, the underlying tone of the story was, “C’mon, America, WTFH?”

Boy, what I wouldn’t give for a skinwich right about now…

It is as simple as this. People, sadly both democrats and republicans, are retarded and can’t destinguish between Al Qaeda and Muslims. That is like thinking that everyone in Germany is a nazi. WTF America? The worst part is that no politicians seem to be standing up against this phobia of muslims. I thought we were over this? I though we had come together as Americans and realized that this was a specific hate mongering group of people that executed 9/11, NOT a religion. The fact that this is even still an issue that republicans continue to push is sickening. Who gives a shit about someones religion? I don’t. I care about action and not philosophy. Sorry for the huge rant but i had to get this off my chest.

@Alissa yes but look at the picture…Obama dressed in Ismalic garb. Look at the rest of the text : “AP – ‘President Obama is a Muslim.’ ‘He’s not an American citizen.’ ‘He wasn’t even born here.'”

Not, “This is a load of crap. Stop spreading these rumors.”

Ok, but, they’re in quotes. I got the vibe of “these are dumb things people say.” The picture is unfortunate but that’s just so people will read the article…which is the point of headlines like these.

I thought this issue died sometime before the election, along with the “Birther” movement. But no, apparently Hawaii still gets requests for copies of Obama’s birth certificate.

I seriously don’t understand why they even mention this. Republicans are pathetic. They go to such extremes to make President Obama seem like Satan. The photos of Obama with Hitler’s mustache? The one where he looks like the Joker? That doesn’t even make sense! Hey Republicans! Grow a pair and accept that you lost the presidency! Stop trying to make your country fail!

First of all, if there were “Bush is an atheist” rumors during his presidency, I would have shot myself to avoid being associated with him (yeah, I didn’t like Bush).
Second, I think people know there’s a difference between Muslims and Al Qaeda. They just don’t know what the difference is, and it’s easier to just say they’re all bad, than it is to actually learn the difference.
Third, even setting aside my second point… (far too) many people believe this is a Christian nation. Which means we would want a Christian in office. Someone who shares our sense of morality. If a Muslim were in office, it’d just be a matter of time before Sharia Law replaced our own laws. Good Christian folks would be decapitated if they wouldn’t say Allah is the one true god, and Mohammed is his prophet. Etc. etc.
Basically, what I’m saying, is Yahoo! aren’t the only idiots. It’s also the American people (sorry folks, but a lot of us ARE idiots), for thinking whether or not Obama is a secret Muslim is actually an important issue.
(BTW, he totally IS a secret Muslim! I mean, his middle name is Hussein! We all know our names determine our religion!)

This Muslim thing is getting old. Americans need something new to be afraid of. How about Chinese people?
