Death and Taxes

March 10th, 2010 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)

Tim Babb’s March Blog Madness: Day 10

I have a completely different reason for hating taxes than most people…tax time is the time I’m forced to confront how little I’m making as a stand up comic. Let me tell you, 2009 was my worst year ever! I made less than half of what I made in 2008.

The good news is that I’m on track to do much better this year than both previous years. So here’s hoping 2010 is where it all turns around for Tim. Otherwise you may see me soon asking you, “Would you like to ‘King Size’ your meal?”* And then tax time will have me wondering if I can deduct ketchup stain removal products.

*Yeah, I said “King Size,” not “Super Size.” If I go fast food, I’m going Burger King, baby. I’m not about to lose ALL my dignity!

If you want to lose your dignity, go Disney, not fast food.

    Watch it, lady. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And I’m willing to bet you’ve increased your fan base a bit. And not that I know anything about being an entertainer, but isn’t that one of those important things? Fans? Eventually they’ll have money and then perhaps give some to you in exchange for funnies.

I like tax time. We usually get good returns. And this was our first year filing with a kid, so it was double the usual. Sweetness! Maybe you should have a kid, Tim. ๐Ÿ™‚

Glad to hear you’re on the upswing this year. I hope that continues!

Tim, good luck with the fast food thing. I can’t even get into that.

Alissa, are you telling me you STILL have your dignity? Can you look me in the eye and tell me that you still have your dignity? I HAD no dignity in the first place, that’s why I loved working the park! ๐Ÿ˜‰
