I like that new word, and I finally get it. Check it out. “After what I saw tonight, I have come to the conclusion that the writers of How I Met Your Mother are a bunch of qumphs.”

I guess I’m in the minority of those who actually like the season finale of “How I Met Your Mother”. They book ended the show, left no strings, exact for the pineapple and #31. I mean you can kinda see it coming, I mean there’s hits that the mother wouldn’t make it to her daughter’s wedding. And you see Robin revisiting her emotions for Ted. I mean it is either the ending we got or we have everyone “happy” except for Robin who’s would have continued hiding her emotions for Ted.

Although just my opinion, although now my Monday night TV watching time slot is open…

Although I will say that should have been Bob Saget sitting in the seat at the end.

The way I see it, SPOILERS! the ending could have had everyone happy. Since they were gonna do what they did to Barney, 31 could have been a surrogate and happened a lot earlier, allowing Barney to be with someone he loves and Robin a chance to do her traveling before settling down, The Mother living and Ted and Heather’s mother passing, thus the tears Ted sheds are for his sister and his daughter, the gang stays with their respective partners, character grown remains in tact, and and entire season isn’t thrown out the window. Plus, look how eager the kids are.

I know where they are coming from, but they could have been a little bit more apprehensive, especially since Ted told them he finally let Robin go. It just really made Tracy seem like a surrogate so Robin can have kids with Ted. Even if they would have kept the ending, it doesn’t make sense since we only saw the Mother in one season. Besides all that, they basically pulled a “Scrubs” with the male and female leads, so the ending wasn’t all the original.

    Ugh HIMYM. I cannot.
Anyway, I’m down with qumph. I shall use it to talk about guests in front of them…for example those ones who STOP MOVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE QUEUE TO TAKE PHOTOS THUS HOLDING UP THE ENTIRE ATTRACTION. OR the ones who are too busy taking selfies to BUCKLE THEIR DAMN SEATBELTS.
rough day at work. but a great episode!

I see your point Jesus. In all honestly, I would have liked the show ending with just the MOTHER getting sick and dying. Not the most popular ending because we did see how not well Robin & Ted did get along (aromatically) before. Theirs is puppy love, cute at first but the flames dies pretty quick.

Also, I doubt I’ll conversation will ever get Tim to watch the show (even though it is now streaming on Netflix). And two thanks to the boys, my husband and I now have a nickname for our neighbors. The Qumphs.

This was a really good episode. I’m not quite sure why, but it just worked for me. I remember thinking that it would make a good entry point for someone new.

So glad to see Tim is continuing to use qumph. =)
