What about hipster geeks, where do they fall? Do we welcome them with open arms or blame them for the lack of continuity in comic book movies, anime movies, and the like. I mean c’mon, you know Hollywood doesn’t make those movies for us. And as for Kevin Smith, are you saying that there is actually a show on Smodcast after the advertisements?!

lol great episode! I did see Chronical (My first shaky cam movie) and I got motion sick. yeah, …. not going to do that again anytime soon. lol glad I sort of know when you’re doing this so I can stop telling my teacher that it might be this week lol hugs and kisses

Wow! I’m such a hypocrite. I’m bitching that Kevin Smith is talking without fully knowing what he’s talking about…but I can’t remember the specific thing Kevin says. Perhaps I should shut my stupid mouth.

Like the guys and Andrew, I have no idea what Jesus’s mystery movie is, I saw the original comment too but didn’t have a clue at the time.
By the nerd/geek/dork discussion I would then be classed as geek. I’m not smart enough to be a nerd but I have big enough obsessions to be a geek.
I couldn’t stop laughing when Noah was listing the powers in the TANfights, I also came up with a way how Jacob could win. Edward uses his musical skills which as a result makes Jacob happy, this in counter makes Edward happy according to the power on the list, thus throwing the vampire off focus in the battle and giving Jacob the chance to strike. I think I’m putting too much thought into this – let’s just keep it with Superman beats them both.

Watched Chronicle, and I agree with Noah, it doesn’t feel like a superhero film. They explain away the cameras and different angles very well and even the explanation of why the main character films everything fits in very well.

I thought this would be a good episode to finish listening to before bed and I was wrong. I almost fell out of bed lagughing at the TANFight. You should do uninformed Fights more often.

Thanks for trying Jenn, but that’s not it. It’s not a “try to take over the world” Pinky and the Brain story, when I said it’s like Splice, it kinda is. I haven’t seen it, but from what I gathered on IMDB, he falls in love with the creature he creates. The movie I’m thinking of has a female geneticist in an unhappy marriage creates a new life form, complete with a tail, which she falls in love with to the point she uses it for sexual release. Sounds like a cross between a weird porn and a bad Sci-Fi channel movie, and as you can tell, my memory is pretty good, I just can’t remember the damn name! It’s gonna bug me until that awkward moment, like a visit to a public toilet or in the Olive Garden or something.

Not really, Lesley, thanks for the help. I never really thought how many movies there are that are in the same category. But to be honest, I first heard about through a clip I saw, I found the IMDB page, read that it was based on a book or inspired by a Lovecraft book. The clip I saw was the main actress’ character getting caught in the act with her creature/creation/lover by her husband I think and the quote “almost…almost”. I don’t even wanna read the book to be honest, it’s just one of those weird things you learn about and get stuck in the back of your mind, bugging you until you remember it. If anything, I thought it might give some inspiration for my future writing career.

FUCKING SHIT! Who says you can’t have an epiphany on the toilet?! I’m just glad it was my own and not a public one. The film isn’t based on a book, but it is a cult horror favorite. It’s called Possession and it stars Sam Neill who went on to play Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park I and III! You can laugh all you want, but I knew this movie existed, I might have been off about a few details, but it exists! It’s a sick film, and I don’t mean sick as in it’s bad ass, I mean it’s sick as in it fucks with your mind! I can’t stop laughing, I knew it would come to me on the crapper, it feels like that episode of Scrubs with Michael J. Fox where the Janitor had a toilet on the roof. And now back to my sad, lonely, pathetic life…… If you’re willing to give in to that curious nag in the back of your mind, the whole thing is on YouTube, that’s where I first saw it.
Oh, and sorry for all the f-bombs.

I know no ones gonna care but me, but the “soundtrack” played when edward was declared the winner was not from twilight at all… but thats ok 🙂 nice try … and even tho i love twilight , you guys making fun of it was actually really funny 🙂 ALSO: i miss kingdom comedy… 🙁 that is all
