Rejected By Cracked – Ads for the Worst Things/How Old People See The World

October 23rd, 2011 . by Tim Babb (TANcast's #1 Host/Editor Fan)

Day 22:

Another late blog, but I spent a lot of my time yesterday putting together our next episode. (Which should be epically fantastic). Cracked spent yesterday and today putting up Photoshop contests. Between the two contests, only one of my entries made it. Here are the ones that didn’t…broken down by contest.

I’ll start with my favorite of the two contests, “If They Made Ads for the Worst Things Ever.” This was the contest that one of my submissions placed in, but I would say these two are much better…

C’mon…using sex appeal to sell suicide? That’s horrible…but funny. And yes, those are the lyrics to the thee from M*A*S*H. Also, I had to visit way more foot fetish websites than I ever wanted to (which is to say I had to visit any foot fetish websites) to find a good pic of dangling feet.

It is also harder than you would think to find a creepy looking guy on the internet. I know. I’m just as surprised as you are.

The next contest was “Things Old People Suspect About Modern Culture.” I got shut out on this one and when you see these entries you’ll be furious…or you’ll completely understand the judges’ decision. Either way…

So that is Greek on the screen. Get it? It’s all Greek to them? Comedy! For an additional level of humor, it says (according to Google Translate), “Click ‘ok’ to erase your hard drive and give us full access to your banking account.”

Old people think Jay Leno is funny! HA! They’re so dumb! (Tim Babb is available for booking as a guest on the Tonight Show at anytime…wonder why that call hasn’t come in yet.)

I thought sure this would nab a spot. It has so many delicious levels…
1) The obvious joke of a bar full of geniuses
2) That bar is Cheers
3) Three of the geniuses are from an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. (Where Data played poker on the holodeck with Einstein, Newton, and Hawking…and they got the real Hawking to come on and play himself.)
