Without veggies there would be no sauce. Without the crust there would only be an Italian splat on a metal dish. Without the cheese there would be no savory, melty goodness. Without the meat, how would vegetarians argue about how bad it is for you? And without the sauce how could one try to swallow the dry flake of skin you would be making? Sort of. The sauce is easily the least important part, because it's the only part that can be left off any pizza, and I'll still enjoy it. It's also the only part that there can be too much of.
