Andy was talking about immortals in Highlander at the time, but I couldn’t help but think “yep, that’s a guy who’s just been thrown up on by his kid, alright”.

Oh, sweet, sweet, Noah, let me tell you a story about houses, kids, and the rooms you think you’re going to get…
Hubby and I bought a 3-BR house. We thought we’d have a kid one day, and that would be perfect. We’d have our room, and office/practice room, and a room for the little prince. While we were kidless, we had a guest room and an office/ practice room.
Then I got knocked up. The office became the baby’s room, and we had a guest room. Hubby started practicing in our BR, and we got a laptop and moved the “office” down to our parlor.
Then, we realized that as small as a baby is, THEY HAVE A LOT OF SHIT. It had to go somewhere. Now, Nick has a bedroom, a playroom, and his own bathroom, and we have only a bedroom. No guest room, no office, and no peace.

My AP US History teacher was an older (mid-to-late-50′s?) dude with a sort of droning delivery, but he was a good lecturer. I passed the class and got a 4 on the AP test without cracking the book much all year. The binding still made that “new textbook crackle” sound when I opened it to study for the final exam…

He was also polite enough to overlook my buddy and I doing Beavis and Butthead in the back row. I didn’t bang him, but I probably should have. You know, as a thank-you.

Or at least bought him a jockstrap.

Speaking of which, thanks, Kris, for always being there to remind us retards that we actually know nothing about gays in their natural habitat. And to answer your question, I have both a TiVo and a DirecTV DVR (a.k.a. “shitVo”). If DirecTV ever gets off their asses and releases the long-promised (and now delayed to 2010) HD DirecTiVo I’ll put that in the living room, move the working TiVo to the master BR, and hold a ceremonial moonlight sacrifice of the shitVo.
